can't keep track anymore

I was in the middle of downloading pics and happy thoughts from my day yesterday when smash. Another bird. This one hit the upstairs window so very hard. He didn't make it. His poor neck. It's just sort of hanging. Sweet little baby. I know he didn't suffer but I just can't stop crying right now. He looked so mangled. He flew right into the damn decal so I'm not thinking these things work very well. I want out of this f*cking house.

I wrapped him in newspaper and he looked a little more at peace and then said a little prayer. My head hurts.

Wow. That is wild that the decals aren't detering them. I can't imagine having to go through this time and time again. I can guess it is emotionally draining for you. I'm sorry for you {and the bird) Cheer up :}

You are such a sweet soul Laura. I can not stand to see animals hurt, they are so innocent. Maybe there is something else you could put on the window...I'll google it and get back to you. What about one of those big plastic owls you see on people's decks...the larger predator scaring away the little birds?!!

Maybe you can put some sort of "film" on your windows, like the kind some stores use, that make the windows look tinted. I don't know, maybe that will cut back on the reflection, and the birds will stop thinking they are flying toward more sky instead of you windows. OMG, you poor baby. I KNOW this is killing you.
