PLEASE watch this. There is a brief 20 second intro and then the segment will follow. It left me speechless, with tears down my cheeks. Absolutely amazing. (but not to worry - it's not sad, just incredibly touching.)
Oh my god. That was as good as the lions hugging their old owners video. Nothing makes me cry more than animals, and there's nothing I love more than animals. What a sweet, heartwarming video. Thanks for sharing it!
This video definitely made me cry. Lately I've been thinking about how humans are the most destructive animals on this planet. We fight and kill so much, and what for? I hope one day we can all be like Tara and Bella (how sappy, but true!)
Thank you for posting this. Absolutely adorable. Like everyone else, tearing up while sitting here.
Have I ever told you about my elephant obsession? Bar none, my favorite wild animal. I've got elephant sculptures and such. One of the very, very animals in the wild who mate for life and woefully mourn the passing of their mate or baby. Very moving. I love elephants.
When we first got to the U.S. and I was learning English, I thought elephant was pronounced "ee-lee-puhant". So I learned Spanish instead. :-)
So glad you all enjoyed the video and felt it as special as I did. We are all such animal lovers on here aren't we!?!?
I will definitely check out that book Solus, I've been meaning to get a new read at the bookstore so this is on my list.
ANd yes, the lady's hat is superb! I now have 2 just like them! I found a great one on sale at REI. Tom's just happy I don't have that raccoon looking hat on my head everyday (except when it's REALLY cold).
My friend emailed this story to me from your blog and it made my cry too. I browsed the rest of your site and really like it. You are very cute and funny.

Gregg saw this on Sunday morning, and told me about it. It's so sweet, and truly amazing! And I LOVE that lady's hat!
