Sweet Chum

Chumley lays in weird places...

Like the top of my shins:

It can't be comfortable for him and it's really not too pleasant for me:

Especially when both animals demand to be pet and will squirm or meow once I stop:

But I'll put up with a little discomfort.

These sweet cat moments are few and far between.

OK, even I have to say "awwww" to this one. And, yeah, take advantage of Chum's good disposition, cuz we both know it won't last long. In a minute, he'll be trying to claw your eyes out!!!

Here's some advice on getting more quality cuddle time with your Chum--get about 5-6 more of them! Someone is always ready for some snuggling, kneading, purring, lap siting, all that stuff that makes cats so wonderful. It really works well!

TOLW1GA7C: I would love to add to my brood but Tom won't have another cat after Chumley. I guess I can't blame him!?! We'll see though.

And you had asked earlier about the sun lamps. I'm not sure how much they are helping my overall outlook but I do think just seeing the brightness does help my mood for the time being. Maybe it's because I'm somewhat squinting and you can't really squint without half smiling??? Not sure. But I do take extra doses of Vitamin D, and again, still not really sure how much that helps but I know it can't hurt.

I completely understand how hard it is to travel and leave the pets! If it was just Wrigs I think we'd be ok but since Chum tries to eat the face off of anyone who enters our home, we are very limited with leaving for any period of time. My sister was the only one who could watch him back in CA. I can only imagine how hard it is with your babies. 7 times harder in fact!

And that was a chicken sandwich that Chum tried to eat on the counter. He somehow managed to drag out a bunch of lettuce, but didn't get any chicken. Such a brat!

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Deep down inside, in Chumley's "heart of hearts", he's really a LOVER, not a fighter.

So sweet. He is such a loving little monster cat. :)

If I lived a little closer I'd take care of Chum when you travel. I can get along with any cat--on his/her terms of course. My daughter and son-in-law are leaving soon on a three week trip to South America and I'm going to bring their Gus here. Two of my cats gang up on him, so he will spend most of his time in her old bedroom. There will be some hissing and growling, but it'll be better than leaving him all alone in their tiny condo. (Cats do prefer their own home, but Gus is pretty adaptable.) Is this TMI or what???

Thanks for the answers--you know lots! I wonder if we really will have BS on the weekend...Blue Skies! They tell us we will, but. . .

Awww TOLW1GA7C, you are so sweet. Even if we were next door neighbors I could never inflict the wrath of Chum onto you! He really is a demon.

Your daughter's trip to S. America for 3 weeks is amazing! And what a good momma you are to take in Gus. What are your animals names by the way?

Well, since you asked--Quito and Oprah (siblings), Chester, Frodo, Tito, Mimi, and Lily. Three girls, four boys. Max is the Golden. I just used way too much time making an album of the cats on Facebook. I can't figure out how to blog, but I have time to learn! Thanks for asking. (Tito is the only one with Chumley characteristics--he can be a real butthead.)

(My daughter's husband is from Ecuador, so they visit as often as possible.)

Those names are adorable and give a little insight into each of their personalities! I've got some new video I need to upload of Wrigs and Chum and I'm having some issues with my computer so I feel your pain when it comes to spending too much time on the computer because of the animals! If they only knew how much trouble we go to. But of course they're worth it...

Totally unrelated, but your hair looks so nice and pretty. And the color looks great as well. You must've gotten the color issue under control and released your hair from hat bondage. Yes, I remember everything I read!!
