I had a terrible dream last night. John McCain was elected president. To some, that in and of itself is nightmare worthy but that's not the worst of it. Our country went to war with each other. It was like the LA riots of '92 but it was nationwide. There were horrific acts of violence amongst blacks and whites, men and women and children against children. Unspeakable terror was happening in our schools, streets and very own homes. I hate when dreams like this cause you to wake up in a cold sweat and even though awake, you're still panicked, feeling fuzzy in your own reality.
Another part of the dream was during McCain's acceptance speech he announced that his first priority was to reduce the cost of potatoes in this country. He was adamant in his delivery and pounded the podium with every word, "Every American should have the means to buy potatoes at a fair price!" and the crowd went wild.
I guess you could say I'm a wee bit nervous for November.
