We Wish You a Merry Christmas
...is one of my favorite Christmas carols. Why? Because think about it, a group of complete strangers show up at your doorstep (probably right as you're about to sit down to dinner), start singing to you, then DEMAND that you bring them figgy pudding and refuse to leave your property until they get some!
I'm not sure how that would fly in today's day and age. I'm guessing somebody gets shot. Merry Christmas!
We wish you a Merry Christmas;
We wish you a Merry Christmas;
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Good tidings we bring to you and your kin;
Good tidings for Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Oh, bring us a figgy pudding;
Oh, bring us a figgy pudding;
Oh, bring us a figgy pudding and a cup of good cheer
We won't go until we get some;
We won't go until we get some;
We won't go until we get some, so bring some out here
We wish you a Merry Christmas;
We wish you a Merry Christmas;
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

This actually sounds really good to me. I adore figs! I think I just may attempt to make figgy pudding this Christmas! I'll let you know how it turns out if I do.
