A special bond

Yesterday I was doing some work downstairs flitting about from room to room when I realized, this is odd, Wrigley is not attached to my hip. So I began calling his name. No response. Then I thought, CRAP! I may have left him outside since breakfast! So I opened the door and called his name and again, nothing. I headed upstairs into our bedroom and this is what I saw...

Wrigs was laying next to Chumley (the dark blob on the ottoman) who seems to be getting progressively weaker the last couple days. First of all, Wrigs NEVER goes upstairs unless we are up there with him, he's always downstairs with me, following me around no matter where I go. And secondly, I didn't have the A/C on so it was very hot in our bedroom which Wrigley doesn't like, so for him to stay up there with his sick brother was incredibly touching. Chumley goes in for tests in just a couple of hours and I'm sick to my stomach with worry but am hoping for the best.

Thank you again for all your kind comments and suggestions and prayers for our little guy.

Oh poor Chumley. I hope it all works out OK, we'll be thinking of you guys. Wrigs staying with his sick pal is so heartwarming. Animals are great!

I know, it amazes me everyday how much these animals really feel, either by instinct or just knowing...We can learn a little something every day just by watching our animals. They are wonderful teachers/ healers.

Thank you for your thoughts on Chumley. He's sitting here with me now being very sweet. I just trimmed his nails which he loves. It calms him and it will also help when he's scratching the hell out of the vet!

Aw, Wrigley is sooo sweet!! And, I almost feel bad for Chums. I said ALMOST....I hope things go well at the vet.

Hoping the vet is able to say that it is something simple and that Chumley is back to his normal "attack" mode...

Please be sure and post the news of Chumley's vet visit. I hope what ever is wrong is simple and fixable, too. God bless all of you!

Hmmmm.... worried about the Chum-meister.... our cat Mortimer started having pee-pee issues when he was 13. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a good outcome. (Not only for Chumley's sake, but for the sake of your sanity... and respiratory health.)

Good luck, girl.
