The Snowy Day

This Book was sitting at the check out counter at Borders today. It used to be one of my favorites. There were 2 left at the counter so I picked them both up, one for my sister too. I just love the illustrations and the little red coat the boy is wearing. This book is precious and takes me back to simpler times.

This is Evan and Tyler's favorite too! We read it every day. Evan calls the kid in the book Evan and not Peter. They are both always quite perplexed when the snow ball melts.

I love stumbling upon books that bring back great memories from childhood.

I bought my kids "The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles" when they were INFANTS, because it meant so much to me in my childhood.

Crazy, I know.

I absolutely LOVE this book, and read it many, many times to my students each year. I wish it was a snowy day today, since I'm sweating like a pig at the moment. God, I HATE summer!!! I'll take a snowy day any day of the year!!

This is the first book I read all on my own. I loved this and Whistle for Willy!

I loved Ezra Jack Keats when I was little. Peter's Chair was my favorite.
