STILL not giving up on this stuff!

***update II: I just couldn't stay away from this stuff. I made another tall Iced Coffee that's currently sitting atop my kitchen counter. I haven't even taken my first sip and my tummy is already starting to rumble. I just can't quit you Nescafe! I just can't!!! Oh and by the way, I made a FULL serving this time. What's the difference right? It's all going to come out in less than an hour anyway!***

***update: So I posted this at 8:38 pm and it's now 9:43 and it's obvious my stomach can't handle this sh*t either. Thankfully, I'm in for the night and we've got plenty of T.P. I spend so much time in this here bathroom that I'd like to invest in one of these. And after this post I'm going to try and not broadcast these episodes as much. I need to at least try and maintain some semblance of decorum here. (yeah right).***

I can't just stop with the iced coffees (even though McDonald's is definitely out) and yesterday I came across this Iced Coffee Syrup by Nescafe that you pour straight into cold milk, add ice and voila! Instant home-made Iced Coffee! I just finished a full glass and guess what?!? So far so good! I bought the Chocolate Mocha flavor and only used half the suggested serving so maybe if I ween my way into this gradually, my stomach will be able to tolerate it.

Have you tried doing your own International House of Coffees blend? I'll bed you could make something and stick some ice cubes in it that taste good. Not sure about the calories, though! Oh, and have you tried the chai spice latte from Trader Joe's? It's not coffee, but I'll bed you could make that a slick iced drink.

I have a can of TJ's Chai Latte Mix in my pantry now and do enjoy it. Though they stopped making Decaf and that was a nice nitetime treat. And I also have Cafe Mocha and Vanilla Creme Int'l coffees which I LOVE hot but they have a similar effect on my tummy. MAybe not as severe but still an effect none the less. The thing I liked about this Nescafe syrup was that it could be poured right into cold milk. All the other stuff I have needs to be made hot first then add ice. Which then ends up getting watered down due to the ice so when I try and strengthen the taste of the coffee by initially adding more, it ends up tasting too bitter. See my quandary??

Why don't you just make a pot of coffee at night, then put it in the fridge before you go to bed. It'll be nice and cold the next day, and you can mix in whatever cream or sugar or syrup or whatever you like. I do that all summer. I make a pot of hazelnut Dunkin Donuts every night, then let it chill overnight. In the moring, I add cream and Splenda right to the pitcher, and drink it throughout the day. Yum! Sometimes I throw some in the slushie maker I bought Lex with some ice, and make a "coffee slurpee." Double yum!

You all are 'effin crazy. All this messin' around with chai this and latte that. WTF?!

I don't know why you don't just stick to the essentials of life??? You know, lagers, pinots, martinis, and a certain Mexican "slushee" or two.

Sheesh. It's not that difficult.

Oo, KBL, I'm with you on the Mexican Slurpee thing!

I don't know, Laura. It seems you are inflicting a lot of abuse to your digestive system.

Of course, Good 'n Plenties do it to me every time. Maybe because I eat the entire package at once (you can't eat just one). But I can't predict when the "effects" will occur whereas you seem to be able to clock yours.

Good thing Tom redid your bathroom...

Cheers

Oh anything with black licorice will throw my entire system for a loop! Good n' Plenties are addicting, I swear there's crack in there. I dare anyone to eat an entire box of Good n' Plenties washed down with a McDonald's iced coffee.

I laughed so hard at the photo of the iTunes TP holder...please tell me that you made that up! I showed it to my (15-year old) son, and of course, he wants us to get one! What a hoot! Thanks for giving me a laugh.

I actually snorted at your third update. "I can't quit you Nescafe." The best line ever!

Licorice does that to most if you eat enough, so I've heard.
