candy-gram!

Do you ever have one of those days where the books don't balance, bills keep piling up, and you're just not in sync with the way the universe is aligned?? Well I was having one of those days, then, I happened to walk by our front door and notice a package sitting atop the front step. Lucky for me it wasn't a drill bit sharpener (that's just the image I found from a google search).

Here's what my surprise package contained:

-Reindeer Antlers and Big red nose for the car

-Enrique Iglesias Remix CD

-Enrique concert photos from LA

-Trader Joe's Green Tea Matcha Latte (the last can from the midwest!!!)

-Jar of Mexican Coffee Chocolate Sauce

-Chicken Breast Jerky Treats for Wrigley

-Sweet note from my very dear friend Bridget!

My sweet Bridget sent this to me, out of the blue. She visited back in December - we attended an Enrique concert and spent some quality time just hanging out at home with the beasts. Since it was during the holidays we kept seeing those antlers and big red noses everywhere we went! They were so funny and I thought I must have them for next year. So Bridget found them once she was back at home. She sent those along with all the other goodies in my surprise package.

And check out the opening page of my photo album:

After flipping through a few pages of the album, all my woes were soon replaced with happy memories of our fun time together at the concert.

And I have Enrique to thank for my friendship with Bridget. If it wasn't for the photos and magazine clippings I ordered off of ebay, we would have never met! Yes, you heard (or read) correctly. When I moved from Chicago to Minnesota I started to collect Enrique paraphernalia and Bridget had a bunch of stuff listed on ebay, which I of course, bought. After a few email exchanges we realized we had more in common than just lusting after Enrique, so we decided to meet! And now, here we are 6 years later. I am blessed with such amazing friends. I feel spoiled and unworthy at times.

Thanks so much Bridget! I miss you and hope you can visit again soon. "Your friend" really misses you too.

You are so blessed! That's awesome! i'm reading a new earth as well! I'm going to have a very meditative "me" weekend.

I sometimes have to keep reminding myself that no matter how bad things get- I really am lucky. :) In your case the universe sent you a reminder!
