gas

$4.67 for a gallon of gas is not fitting into my budget. Word on the street is that we'll hit 5 bucks by July 4th. I'm going to celebrate my independence from a car this 4th of July. Seriously, I don't want to drive anymore.

UGHHHHH. The gas thing is so f-ing infuriating. I mean, in a way, doesn't it feel like we're all F'd? It seems like it's just getting worse, too. The gas prices, the war, George Bush. I'm fed up with it ALL.

I have "gas-guzzler," and only run errands about once a week. I'd like to get a smaller car, or maybe one of those trikes for adults (http://www.flaghouse.com/itemdy00.asp?T1=3557)...Gregg & David keep making fun of me for the trike idea, but seriously, I am so amazed at the prices...gas AND furnace fuel. I tell you, I'm layering!

You and me both! I actually have an appointment with the San Diego Vespa dealer next week. I'm seriously considering buying a Vespa by the end of this summer. Really, really like the Granturismo model in plum.

I don't see an end to this economic instability for quite some time. Based on my humble degree in economics from DePaul, I suspect we'll be paying about $7 to $7.50 per gallon by Labor Day. Yikes!

I know how you feel it is completely ridiculous. One of my co workers was telling me she heard that by the end of the summer gas will be close to $7.

Looks like I am going to be in fabulous shape having to ride my bike everywhere. I just hope I can pedal fast enough on the freeway on my way to work.

Good GOD. I am so dependent on my car. I felt helpless last Friday when it was in the shop.

Wow, I was just bemoaning paying 4.01 a gallon. I will now stop pitying myself and pity you instead...

We'll look back in a few months and say, "Remember when we thought $4+ was high!?!? Oh what we would give to have that now!" Seriously, this will happen. Sad but true.

Here's hoping for a turn around in '09.

Sheesh, I just paid $4.19 and thought that was outrageous. I feel for you guys out there in CA.

Yeah, I know. I'm thankful I work at home, instead of having to commute the 30 miles (one way) to Atlanta, like I used to have to. However, Hubster still has the commute, and drives an SUV.

We're cutting back as much as possible, but it bites. Unfortunately, there are no quick or easy fixes to this problem.

Still that cheap???? You are really spoiled! We're used to these prices here..

Do like I do.. buy a bike!! ;)

This "Independent Woman" video with the musical cats is hysterical.
I nearly choked on my orange juice, I was laughing so hard.
