I totally agree. Very, very sad. He was so young! I was trying to catch a quick nap on the couch, and was half listening to the news. I thought I was dreaming, and wasn't really sure if I heard correctly.
I know - I almost cried when I saw Tom Brokaw break the news on NBC this afternoon. I've always really respected Tim Russert. He was honest, fair and you could tell - a Good Person - in a time when so many journalists are just one small step above sleeze.
It's a sad day for journalism, and politics. (And, of course, his wife and son.... so very sad for them.) :-(
