No hoses needed

We have 3 hoses at our house. One out back, one for the side garden and one in the front. I tell Tom,

"We don't need 3 hoses in Seattle."

He says, "Well I'm taking them with."

I tell him, "Come to think of it, we really don't even need ONE!"

He says, "But what if I want to wash my car?"

I say, "Park outside."

Okay, Sweet Pea, I know you are kidding, but!...one does need hoses up here. We use soakers, sprayers and sprinklers (no nasty jokes, please; I'm trying to help). You'll need to water your garden in the summer, and the rain is not hard (or plentiful enough) to wash the dirt off your car. Trust me on this!

I have been meaning to ask you: have you ever read anything about the Mitford sisters? They were some of the cleverest writers of their time, especially in their private correspondence. I can't get enough of them, even though their politics were rather wearying.
Sending love.

I see Tom decided to come back home! About time - ha! I bet Karen just chuckles about all your Seattle comments. Just think of all that great coffee out there!

Men are so silly.
Hubster has been messing with one of our A/C units this afternoon/evening because "it's not cooling sufficiently".
I have a feeling I'll be calling the HVAC company tomorrow to undo whatever damage he has done.
