This is just awful. Whenever Wrigs and I go for walks in the canyons I'm constantly on the look out for mountain lions and coyotes but I never even thought about bears. I hope this woman fully recovers and I pray that her dog did not suffer. Just so sad.

How horribly frightening that must have been. :-(
I'll bet the dog protected her. (Reminds me of "Ole Yeller"... I still cry when I see that movie.
Off the subject but have you healed yet? I had my pre-op today..
I heard about this today. Apparently with all the wildfires, the bears and other animals have had no where to go. So sad on all sides, for sure.
Where, oh, where has my little Laura gone? Oh, where, oh, where can she be?
FYI, no bears in Seattle.
A TON of homeless and Japanese people, though.
So, if you're also afraid of being attacked by a disabled homeless veteran, or becoming deaf after hearing "PING WONG WING WAAH!" all f'ing day long, I suggest you don't go.
