Enter at your own risk

Having our house on the market is so much fun. Here's a copy of the sign that greets all realtors/potential buyers on our front door:

NOTE TO REALTORS:

EXTREMELY AGGRESSIVE, UNFRIENDLY CAT
LIVES HERE. PLEASE CONTACT AND CONFIRM WITH HOMEOWNERS THAT CAT HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM PREMISES OR IS BEHIND CLOSED DOORS BEFORE ENTERING HOME. THIS IS MANDATORY AS HE HAS BIT AND CAUSED SERIOUS INJURY TO OTHERS. WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE BUT IT IS FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY.

THANK YOU.

LAURA AND TOM

Our house smells like poop today too.
(that part's not on the sign, I'm just saying that right now because as I'm typing this I smell poop.)

I so understand about the cat thing. I have 2 plus an outside dog... Thank goodness mine use the litter box most of the time, unless they are mad at me and want to make a statment. Which isn't pretty..
Sounds like you are feeling better.. Your blog has really made me laugh today--and I sooo needed that!!
Have a great weekend...

I am loving the sign with the Hannibal Lector mask... As for the previous post- people are morons, the point was not that they were lurking on your blog but pretending they knew nothing. Who cares if you read a public blog and don't comment but don't act suprised when you are told, in person, what you have already read!

Laura,
You'll get a kick out of this - when we sold our first home, we had two cats (who were 100% indoor cats) as well as a VERY hyper Black Lab.... AND a 2 year old daughter and a 3 year old son (who scribbled on freshly painted walls I might add). To say it was a challenge to keep the house "show-able" would be an understatement.

In fact, when we moved into this house I told Hubster "I will never move or sell a house again, in fact, when I die, feel free to bury me in the back yard."

Hang in there, girl. It will sell.

On a lighter note, I've already had a humorous Sitemeter incident... come to my blog for details (and another humorous Diva video...) :-)

I am being totally serious here. Have you ever considered giving Chumley psychotropic medication? Do they do that for animals?

Been there, done that. Chum's been on 3 different kinds of meds in the past. Anti -Aggression/Anxiety/Depression, all human prescriptions just in a VERY small dose. It was SHEER HELL trying to give him these pills two times a day. Unless they can make meds in treat form that he'll actually eat, he'll remain medication free. He can't do pills or liquids. He's STILL on his antibiotics and if you could see my arms when I'm done giving him his meds you would cringe.

Have you tried this?
Bach's Rescue Remedy>

You can put a couple drops on their tongue or I read you can put some on your fingers and then rub them on the inside of their ears.

I like the stuff. I give it to Church before I do his nails, and Izzy and Yankee on occasion to keep them from fighting.

THAT sign ought to help you sell the house!
