Back in Seattle

*Update* more snowy pics, taken the morning after the snow storm:

So much to download, upload, inload, outload.

But for now, it's snowing and it's pretty fricking amazing.

Here's a little clip from tonight's news:

And Wrig's reaction to seeing snow for the first time:

After our midnight stroll around the neighborhood, Tom had a genius idea:
(Since we don't own a sled, we used the lid from an underbed storage bin. Worked great!)

It was so much fun. Neighbors came out of their houses with cameras and kids in tow. Oh and dogs too.

There's something magical about the first snowfall especially when you're sharing it with the ones you love (minus the Blackberry)

Oh my dear, dear, beloved, tiny friend....

If it weren't 7 a.m. on a Sunday morning I would call you right now! I've been up for a while and I thought I'd see how your trip back to the SEA went....and lo and behold I find this post.

Listen, can I tell you that my heart swelled with happiness for you? Your post is magical and full of joy. I love it. I know that we're not privy to your minute-by-minute thoughts and feelings by these posts alone, but if I were to determine by just your posts, I'd say that life in Seattle is beginning to settle in a bit for you and your precious little family. That makes me so happy that I can't even describe it. Plus, you are SERIOUSLY throwin' down with the North Face and LL Bean gear....yah!!!!

Now, I would just like to say...I LOVE SEATTLE! Can I move in? Pleeeeease???? :-)

I miss Wrigs. Ed and I just sat here and watched his intro to the snow over and over again. He is such a sweet, sweet boy.

And how special is Chums, lovingly sitting on papa's lap?

Love you guys. I especially loved hearing the joy in Tom's voice...he's happy to have his best friend back in town. I can tell.

Love and hugs to all of you from San Diego! We miss you all so much.

This looks like great fun! And you look so cute your Poulsbo hat. I hope you are staying warm in the house. We just took a walk for about 3 miles and it is so pretty. I was thinking that you might prefer this to the rain. =)
God bless you all, and welcome home!

Laura, was that you on the news?? I watched it a couple of times and I'm not positive. You usually have a hat on, but maybe you took it off to enjoy the flakes. This is not a frequent event here in Western Washington, so enjoy while it's here. It is beautiful. Welcome back to the Pacific Northwest.

I'm in Canada.

Often, the snow is deeper than my dog is high.

She has a network of tunnels in the back yard.

It's great.

I so wish I was there to play with you guys in the snow! You looked like you were having soooo much fun! As I'm typing this, there is a monsoon happening outside. I wish it were snow instead of rain :(

Nope that wasn't me on the news TOFLW1GA7C but I could definitely see a resemblance, especially if she was wearing a hat!

The snow is still on the ground and it's just gorgeous. It makes the city glisten and twinkle. Just magical.

I laughed out loud when you hit Wrigley in the face with the snow. Everyone within earshot of me had to see it too. :)

I'm surprised Wrigley went outside beings he doesn't like the cold.
