I have skinned my knee.

How?

Searching for an intruder in our home.

Our guest toilet lid was closed.

Our downstairs toilet lid and seat were up.

Tom and I did NOT do this.

I called the landlords. They did not enter the home.

I went into a DEEP closet, with Wrigs and a flashlight searching for a possible suspect. There was nothing.

Upon exiting closet, my shoe lace got stuck on the hinge of the closet door and I fell face first onto the floor.

My hands and right knee caught the brunt of the fall.

Knee is already turning green.

Chumley is bellowing like a lunatic.

Something is not right.

Did I mention....

this house is haunted???

First time I'm saying it on here.

Yes, it is true.

Haunted?! WTF?! How have you NOT mentioned this yet?!

You were very brave to go searching! I fell and skinned my knee a couple of weeks ago. I was walking Sadie and evidently I'm just uncoordinated (and hungover).

Would the pets do it? Is Tom pulling a practical joke on you?

Not even sure where to begin. The last 5 months have been VERY interesting.

Fuses blow, power flickers, light switches working on different lights, smell of cigarette smoke coming from downstairs, Roomba going off-though it's not programmed, home phone not working, cold chills in the house (aside from the general coldness, it's more like a tornado of cold that encircles you), Garage door not working, and then today the toilets. And a dozen or so birds that have crashed into the windows. There is one outside our window today, the window that I covered in X's but somehow they still manage to crash.

Then there was about 2 weeks where our temp gauge registered 66.6 for most of the day even though the temp inside felt much colder.

I'm sure I'm missing other things, and Tom does sense that something's amiss (not sure he's convinced it's a ghost) but it's just been a very interesting 5 months. Not scary just odd. And now we are moving to another house, in another part of town, that has no ghost, just a homeless person. I wish I was kidding about that.

WOW. I'm sorry about your knee, and the worries about an intruder, but am (as you know) not surprised about the house...Did you ever get in touch with C. about it? She had a bunch of weird things happen in her former house, and "the cold that wouldn't go away" was one of them. Glad it isn't scaring you, but glad that you don't have to stay there, either!

Sorry you were hurt....lucky it was not your face.
I lived in a haunted house as a teen. It is not fun.
This could explain the whole bird issue....
I hope you get out soon....homeless people are much easier to read.

As I was reading, I though - She has a ghost! And then you said it was haunted!! Do tell!! I used to live in a house that was haunted. The ghost was friendly though. I can tell you more on FB - don't want everyone to think I'm nuts. :)

Jane, that's exactly why I've never mentioned it on here or to many others. Just not a pleasant topic of conversation for most people.

I am glad you are moving! You should have called the TAPS people from Ghost Hunters.

It was a ghost, alright.

:-)

Unless Chums pees in that toilet when no one is looking...
