Alert the Fashion Police

So Tom has this corduroy blazer (or is it a sportcoat?) and it reminds me of a mid 70's Ivy league set movie. Think Love Story, or the Paper Chase. (that is not Tom in the pic, just an idea of what the blazer looks like).

Last night we were watching TV, eating pizza and of course our house is freezing so he went to put on the blazer. He comes back down, settles in and I ask, in my best British accent,

"What time is the lecture?" (pronounced Lekt-cha)

He responds with a full mouth of pizza,

"This coming from my wife, wrapped up in a f*cking Snuggie."

Yes. The Snuggie has arrived and I LOVE it.

What I thought was going to be a fun joke to wear to various Snuggie pub crawls has now turned into my favorite article of clothing!!! (Or giant piece of large felt with sleeves, I should say). It's not too thick but really keeps me warm. I got the Royal Blue color which makes me look like a Smurf, but I like that too. I really want to wear it out of the house but Tom refuses to be seen with me. Last night I tried to wear it when we went to pick up the pizza and he said sternly, "NO. Take that thing off."

I have an extra one and I've offered it to him and he says he will not be seen within 3 feet of the thing. I asked him to please not knock the Snuggie until he tries it but that's probably not going to happen anytime soon. He'll stick with his Cord blazer.

Pip. Pip. Cheerio!

That's hilarious! So, they're doing Snuggie pub crawls out in Seattle, too, huh? They're doing them here in Chicago. As a matter of fact, it might be this weekend (?) You should bring your smurfy ass her for a practice crawl before you do one in Seattle. Just a thought....

I so want a snuggie! I am always cold so my plan is to wear one backwards and one forwards then settle in with my free booklight.

I'm ordering the Snuggie set (and matching reading light set) this weekend... my 11 year old daughter has talked me in to it. She wants mint green. I have yet to decide which fashion color I want.
And you know WHAT? I bet the snuggie "inventor" (and I use that term VERY loosely) has made a frikkin FORTUNE....
We have leather couches and my daughter and I are always chilly. (My husband and son are, of course, perfectly comfortable.) We NEED snuggies. And I WILL be posting photos. (Snuggie weinie roast in the backyard? Why yes.... Diva and Ruby ensconced in Snuggies? You bet!) The cornucopia of Snuggie photo shoot possibilities is ENDLESS, I tell you... endless.) :)

I can just hear the two of you having this Snuggie-chat. It has to hurt his sensibilities a little bit, considering his profession and everything. I'm glad that you've finally found the thing to beat the COLD! Maybe I'll buy Tom's from you, if he won't wear it. What color is it? =)

I look at the snuggie every time I'm in the store and am so getting one!!

I think you should get to wear your snuggie out if you want to. ;)

I have seen the snuggie infomercial many times and always wondered who the hell would buy those things. Alas, now I know. :)

*imagining Laura as a smurf out in the streets*

I think I understand your hubby.

:-D

But I also that it would stand out in the snow, in case you were caught in a blizzard.

I was going to say 'kudos' to your husband for refusing to wear the Snuggie...

...but then remembered he had a corduroy blazer.

No points.
