This Imperfect Life

There is no such thing as a perfect life...

No perfect home, or husband,

(not even a perfect wife)

There is no perfect place to live,

or a perfect way to die.

Parents are not perfect,

perfect children are a lie.

Striving for perfection will only lead to sadness.

Embrace your life, with all its flaws,

Learn to love the madness!

Well-written and absolutely true! I think perfect anything might be boring, but I'll never find out. (I do hope your ear is perfect though.) It was good to see you back in cyberspace.
Take good care of yourself,

Thank you my friend. I decided to publish the short version of this cuz my longer version was quite a rant! And thank you for your concern about my ear. It is not "perfect" but it's improving. Take care of yourself and your brood as well. xoxo

So true, my dear.
I read something the other day (wish I could remember where I read it) about how life is always like an "ill fitting coat" and I thought WOW that's so true... we always WISH it would fit perfectly snug like a glove but it just NEVER does. No matter how well things might be going in one area, there will always be some area where there are struggles. And, for me personally, I long ago realized that that "empty space" deep inside would never get filled with ANYTHING that this world had to offer. Because this world isn't home. It never was meant to be.

(Don't worry... I'm not going to get preachy...) :-)

However, we still need to make the best of EACH day, EACH moment, and not let our emotions and moods dictate to us how we're going to live our lives.

Good post, and here's a big blogger hug from me to you, my friend. :-)

That was lovely!

How long are you gonna keep us in the dark about the Valentine's Day post? We're still very confused! ;-)

Somewhere, somehow, Wrigs-a-Lot and Chumsy are plotting their revenge..."Harrumph! Well, WE are certainly perfect....we'll show her!" :-)

Hey, did you recently make a new friend on Facebook? Ha!

Amen to that, sister! Did you really write that? You are full of surprises, and a multitude of gifts.
Hugs from imperfect me. We're all on this imperfect "bus" together!

Thanks sweet people. I'm slowly starting to wean my way back to happy. Slowly.

And yep Karen, I wrote this yesterday after a conversation with a friend about how life is dealing crap ass hands to so many ppl right now. This is the short version, the longer version is more of a bitch fest so I condensed it for the blog.

I love this poem. Makes me realize I need to take time to write more of this kind of stuff like I used to.
