Facebook tourette's

Ok you know how in Facebook there's the game, Farmville, that SO many people are addicted to?

Well you get all these updates from people feeding their chickens, growing flowers, selling their sheep, etc. etc. etc.

So today on my news feed it says next to one of my friend's names:

"(Friend who I won't name) is looking for something in Farmville!"

and my first impulse was to write this in the comment box:

"would that be...a life???"

But then I just couldn't click the button to post it. What is it about this game that people love so much? And these are not people who are sitting around all day on their asses, these are intelligent, hard working, people (many of whom are at work while playing this game.) I wonder if I'd get sucked into it as well. Maybe I'll start with Mafia Wars and find out.

I have yet to give in to the pressure of joining Facebook, is this is one, of MANY, reasons I won't!!! I waste enough time in Blogiverse!

I just got off the phone with Frank. I reminded him of your mom's offer. Uncle Tony is actually showing some improvement, thank God! I'm going to see him tomorrow. :)

I share your opinion of Farmville! I'm afraid it might such me into it; or, worse yet, I wouldn't be able to figure it out. I totally ignore any Farmville stuff--I don't click ignore. . . I just ignore it!

I don't get it either. I wish there were a way I could put on my FB profile: Not interested in your Farm, your Mafia, or playing Bejeweled with you....

But I do love FB.... (ChiTown you should try it.... it really is fun to find old friends....)

I am with ChiTown Girl. Swore of myspace when it came, and Facebook too. I don't need other reasons to fritter hours away on the computer. Farmville sounds demented. Whatever happened to Monopoly?

I'm on a Farmville hiatus. Only Mafia Wars for me right now. And I try and only post those updates to my mafia wars "list".
