we are going to dinner with friends in the suburbs.

That is far from the comforts of my home (and bathroom.)

I will be eating plain rice and toast.

Get thee in for tests and see if something can be done to help. I know you know how to take care of yourself, but here's a caring push from someone who cares about you.

I love your Blog...I really enjoy reading it! Anyhow, I have similiar issues that you do for your stomach and wanted to share some info as I know how hard it is dealing with these issues. You should see a gastrologist, they can give you a lot more info and will do specific tests, etc. It can be anything.. For ex, it could be IBS, lactose intolerance... They will make you get a colonoscopy though to rule out crohns and colitus (it is awful, but at least they know...lets just say, thank goodness my husband loves me! Getting a colonoscopy at 29 was a humbling exp and quite embarrassing! You can only laugh at it though) One thing that I am taking now is a daily probiotic supplement: align (it is the healthy bacteria, like in the yogart they sell, but in a pill form and stronger than the yogart) you can purchase it at the drug store, it has made my life so much easier! As I have gotten older, for some reason, my stomach has been worse. I just turned 30...and I feel I have the digestive system of a 70 year old! Stress can make things worse and sometimes it will happen for me when working out and running. Luckily, my life as been much better since I avoid lactose and take the align. Sorry for the TMI, but I wanted to share my insight b/c I can relate.

Yeah, get to the DR. you can't live with this...how long has it been going on? If more than a few days, it is not a bug. You need to feel good.
Take care and have some fun,

OK, I know you're probably tired of advice, BUT you may want to take a look at the book The Maker's Diet. The author had SERIOUS digestive issues (in fact, he almost died from them) and developed a diet which wound up saving his life. It's a very moving story, and many people swear by the diet.

Here's a link:

Good luck my friend, and so sorry you're dealing with this. :(

Thank you all for your comments of concern and sharing your own experiences.

I have IBS and have been having these issues for the last 10 years. However I think stress and/or Endo makes it worse. There has definitely been a lot of stress the last 6 months or so, but also since I opted to not treat my Endo with that horrible drug Lupron, the doctor told me it would return within 6 months. I had surgery last June and not sure if I went into all the details, (probably did but can't recall) but the lesions were very extensive, especially around my colon and bladder so I'm guessing it has already grown back, perhaps worse than before. Couple that with the stress and the IBS and my insides have become one big bubbling mess.

Once I'm settled I'll find a doc (even though I DESPISE finding new doctors) and see if the endo is in fact causing this again. If it's just the IBS I can live with it, eventhough it's not pleasant, but there are definitely things I can do to prevent it from getting so bad. Diet is a HUGE part of this and I have not been eating (or drinking) the right things for these issues at all.

As for tonight, I cancelled the dinner. Wrigs is not feeling well and I'm taking him in to the vet in a bit. Just happened out of the blue. He's acting lethargic and that is not him at all. Always something...

I would love to send this to you in a private email my friend...but I don't have that info.
One of my dearest friends has had INDO and IBS for about 18 years. She is now 43. A year and a half ago she was about to have a full hysterectomy for all her pain and problems. MAJOR for years she has dealt with.....
Before her hysterectomy...she saw one last DR. A Dr. that practices both western and Eastern medcine. He put her on the bioidentical hormones to try and regulate herself......
IT was a miracle. My friend felt so good...all her problems were almost gone.
I can vouch for a few friends that have had this same thing happen.
I think you should look into this too.
Soon I will post about how this friend....who has NOT been on birth control for 17 years and was told that she could NEVER have a baby and she wound up preggers about 20 weeks ago. YES. we are all shocked.
She was to be my backup MAMA if I were to die....now, she is going to be busy herself!!!
There are DR's that can help you with your issues....I just know it.

Email me if you want.....it is on my profile.
