Real quick

Does anyone know how long prepared jello lasts in the fridge? I made some on Saturday and it's been sitting in a plastic bowl, uncovered, and wonder if it's still good? I've watched it jiggle and wiggle so the consistency appears to be intact but I'm not sure about the taste. Any advice?

LOL! It should be fine. I've been eating chocolate pudding that's been in my fridge for almost 3 weeks. Ewwww, gross, right!? Well, I'm not dead yet! :-)

But, my tummy does seem to be, ahem, a bit 'tougher' than yours. Ha!

I miss your food posts! Hey, whatever happened with your White Castle slider encounter? Ha!!!

If it smells like poo don't eat it.

I'd say give it a week. And you'll be able to tell if it's funky before you eat it because the edges will harden a little. Next time keep a cover on it and it will stay soft and jello-ey.

if it's not good to eat you can always toss it in the bathtub and wrestle with your girlfriends. And please take pics.

Haha...love the jello wrestling comment! I think the jello should be fine since it's been covered up...don't eat out right out of the bowl though unless you want a little pool of saliva with your jello next time....not sure why this happens...same thing happens with pudding if you eat it right out of the bowl...I've never tried that, of course!

I love how the majority of my friends/blog readers are just as sick and twisted as me. Thanks for the info!

And by the way, the jello is still sitting there in the fridge. Haven't tried it yet. Maybe I'll turn this into an experiment and see how long it lasts before growing legs and walking out the door.

Jello is helpful in the Nut Meat sweetening process.

You should try it. Delish.
