At peace.

Our Sweet Chumley
(October 31, 1994 - February 26, 2012)

It hurts just as much as I always dreaded it would - we all miss him SO much and are trying to adapt to a life without him.  At some point I will write about the experience and his final days with us. We are grateful to have been able to love him to (and through) death. Be at peace little man.
We love you.

Hey, Laura.

I'm so sad. I'm crying right now. I have tears running down my face. I'm so sorry.

It's always so tough to deal with the death of an animal that we loved so much. My dear Tom died too, last summer. He had a tumor, all of a sudden. I didn't have the courage to say something about it in my blog, and I don't know if I ever will.

But that's the price of love, right? We have these animals (or people) in our lives. We love them. We're lucky enough to have the opportunity to love them. Until they are gone, leaving behind beautiful memories.

And with Chums, the memories are not only with you, but with all of those you shared them with. We will miss Chums. I will miss Chums. He was special.

Oh, honey, I'm so very sorry. I can only imagine how your hearts are breaking right now. How is Wrigs handling things? (and, no, I'm in NO way trying to be funny) I'm sure he misses his buddy.

Sending you lots of hugs and kisses and love.

It was such a pleasure to get to know Chumley and his antics over these last few years. I was always in awe of how you lived with his little (shall we say?) quirks and how you managed to find the humour in them and share them with everyone. He was a real character. The thing that came through the most was how good you were to him in his life. He was truly blessed.
Good Night Chumley. You will be missed very much. You were a true original.
Hugs to you Laura

My husband and I adored Mr. Chumley from Ohio, we are so sad to hear about your loss. Take peace in knowing that there is a special place in heaven for the kitties that bring us joy (and bring us to lovingly cover our furniture in shower curtains). xoxo

Thank you for your kind messages. I have been writing, outside of the blog venue, but have been wanting to get back here more consistently. Will try to do better about that. Hugs and love to all.
