Sweet Aunt Janie

passed away this morning.

Aunt Janie
1927-2008

This is a very difficult time for my mom, as this was her last remaining immediate family member. Up until a few months ago my aunt was very active and just recently things took a tragic turn. Too much suffering, too much pain. She is now at peace and my mom was by her side.

My Aunt Janie was so much fun and was such an animal lover. I just realized I posted a little story about her back in May, a few months before she had fallen ill.

I'm going to miss her very much. I still have the nightgown she gave me when I was 10, on one of my visits to her house. She let me borrow it and I felt so grown up that she insisted I keep it. I'll have it forever.

Here come more tears...

  4. First of all, Aunt Janie is beautiful. Wow. I'm sure she's beautiful now in spirit too.

Today in church we sang a song about saying farewell but that we would meet again tomorrow.

I'm sorry you and your family has had to say goodbye, for now, to your aunt. I will keep her in my prayers.

I hope you are doing okay.

  5. May God bless your auntie with peace and serenity. I'm so sorry to read of her passing. My thoughts are with you and with your mom, and with Tiger as well, because if Aunt Janie loved Tiger as much as she did, I can only imagine the devotion Tiger felt for Aunt Janie.

Call me if you need anything. I'll fly up to Seattle. Let me know. Achilles & Milo send their love and head nuzzles. We're thinking of you our tiny Golden friend.

  15. I pray that you and your family are feeling well today.

I read your comment on my blog and that is SO true…we were so excited for that little bit of “stormy” weather, weren’t we? We sat and enjoyed matche tea lattes as we stared at the clouds, and Achilles just sat there staring at us like we’d lost our minds.

Then there were Wrigley and Chumley staring at us through your living room window, PISSED off that they couldn’t come outside with us! I miss you too, my friend. We’ll meet again soon!

Your furnephews love you to pieces and send their licks and slobbers.
