LOL! Yes..... I must say... I have one of those "pseudo-stalker-types" from HS who is now a FaceBook friend (Suz, you'll probably remember her). She's always sending me "stuff" now. And I ALWAYS ignore it. And just recently she felt the need to email me and tell me - OUT OF THE BLUE - that she prefers women to men, sexually. (Lovely. Thanks for the news flash. I'll be sure to alert CNN.)
I wonder if you can "de-friend" a friend on FaceBook? Hmmm. Perhaps I should look into that...

Yes you can de-friend someone. It was done to me by an ex-boyfriend who's balls still have yet to drop after all these years.
