I think what Ron and Nancy had was a deep, mutual admiration that transcended any sort of perfectionism. I guess s...I haven't seen forever, so I don't know. I guess some of it depends upon what you think a "love affair" means. I do know that the "real thing" feels different from anything else. It feels different at different times, too, but I think, from experiencing 17+ years of loving the same person, that it is possible. I'm still in love, and feel passionate for/about him. I know folks who still are in love after 50+ years together, but it's not all steamy passion now; it's deep, many-layered knowing and intimacy.
